life has been fun

What a few weeks it has been. I have gone 6 weeks now without a kitchen and it is starting to take a toll on me. Our house is starting to look like a home again after are flood we had. It has been ruff. But we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Things have been so busy with Relief Society. I can't seem to catch  a break. The kids have all been sick With Bristol spending some time in the hospital. Like I said life has not been to much fun around here. Last Sunday Baxter received his patriarchal Blessing it was really nice.

You would not think that just a few weeks ago our kitchen was gutted to the trusses. It is coming back together. New hard wood floors, new granite counter tops a few new cabinets and a ton of new paint.
By tomorrow we will have cabinet doors and we will be able to move back in the kitchen. just to cook again will be so nice.

Jason laid wood on our stairs and cased it. I thought he did a great job on it.

Little Bodel is not so little anymore. She is almost 8 months. She has been pulling herself up on things for a month. She wants to walk and thinks she can. She tries to walk right off the couch.
She loves food right now, and she will follow Bristol everywhere hoping to pick up what food she might have put down.
and Bristol was all smiles tonight, she wanted her picture taken. She is becoming such a good talker

Brielle on the piano i can't keep her off
and boston he would not let me take his picture

The Amulet

My sister wrote this book it is so good. I just finished reading it in a day. I could not put it down. And I have not read a book sense the 7th grade. I would recommend it to everyone. You can buy it on amazon in paperback or on your kindle.

Adopted at birth, Emma was raised in a world where magic only existed on TV. While on a search for her birth parents, Emma meets James, the mayor’s nephew. An accident involving James occurs, leading her to discover that she’s at the center of an ancient prophecy, the Amulet. Simon, a guide sent by the Witches Council interjects himself into her life to teach her all about the magical world. He must protect her from the powerful Wicked and their leader Asher.
James, who has a secret of his own, puts her directly in the dangerous path of the Wicked. She faces growing feelings for her guide and the knowledge that she’s forbidden to be with the mortal boy she loves. What will she do when she’s forced to choose between normal life, and a life full of magic and unlimited power, all before her 18th birthday?

A sad day

Yesterday was a pretty sad day here in Logandale. Our next door neighbors son was killed in a car crash after school. I spent the evening with his mom while she waited for her husband to fly home. He was a great and very good kid. He has a little sister Brielle age and they play all the time together. I know this poor family could use a lot of prayers for them.

Over Christmas time

I know we are way past Christmas. But I never had time to post a few things. I use my blog as a scrapbook, So I would hate not to have these pictures in it.
Baxter had his Christmas band concert. Wow they sounded so good. I could of sat and listened all night.
Brielle had her Christmas program at school. They were all so cute. Kindergarten is the best.
Brielle was all full of smiles

Families are Forever

Saturday was a very special day for our family. We went up to the St. George Temple and were able to seal Bodel to us.
It is always a great day being in the temple with your family.
Saturday afternoon we were able to go to a church house near by and bless her and have a dinner.
We had a ton of family and friends join us. We even had a bunch of Bodel Birth family join us. It made it a special day. Thanks everyone that came.

Now What

What a mess our home is right now. A few days before Christmas a water line broke under the kitchen sink in the night. It flowed a heavy flow of water out all night. It flooded our kitchen, living room, office, food storage room and our storage room. The kitchen and the food storage room got it the worst. It has been fun. The ceiling all feel threw into the basement. We have removed 8 layers of floor from the kitchen all wet. The counter tops had to be cut out and the cabinets removed. Me and my mom and all 6 kids did 34 loads of wet laundry the other day at the laundry mat. Put Christmas on top of that and we have been very stressed.
I know it could of been worse way worse. So i am thankful it was not. Hopefully over the next few weeks things will come back together and I wont have my fridge in my family room and i will have a oven and stove again.
We do have some good news. Our adoption was finally final on Christmas Day. We did not have to go to court to finalize. Lucky for us. So this Saturday we our going to seal Bodel to us in the St. George Temple. And then bless her after. We are super excited. Last Saturday we finally after almost 5 years fighting with our mortgage company sold our old home. It is a huge burden lifted off of us. They were very good to us and gave us 100 percent debt forgiveness for it. We do feel very blessed even know there is so much crazy going on around our house.
