Poor little Bristol

It has been such a long week

Or i would say 3 weeks. All our kids have been sick. 3 with strep throat 2 with horrible colds and one with his tonsils out. My kitchen counter is beginning to look like a pharmacy no joke. I took Bristol in about two weeks ago to the doctor she was wheezing and just not acting ok. The doctor gave her a breathing treatment sent her home. About a week latter she scared us to death she was struggling so hard to breath so hard. To scare Jason you know it has to be bad. We took her into the instant care and the doctor looked at her and listened and said I do not feel comfortable treating her. He says get her to the Er fast. We ran over to the Hospital were she scared them to death. They could not find anything wrong but she sounded horrible. Meantime I'm getting extremely worried. Yesterday we took her to a Ent possibly thinking she had some kind of blockage in her nose. He looked at her listen and was pretty concerned but again he could not find anything wrong. We left there and my stomach just hurt I knew something was really wrong but I could not figure it out. It had already been a hard week looking at her hearing her struggle to breath and feeling like what is wrong with this poor sweet child. So yesterday with the sick feeling in my stomach the Ent had advised us to go see a certain Pediatrician. I called hoping to get her in as soon as possible. I told them what was going on. They said bring her in in the morning. Yes such a better felling. We took her in this morning and the doctor took one look at her and the gasping for air she was doing. She says she has RSV. I said no they tested her for that in the hospital a few days ago and it was negative they also x ray her lungs and they were clear. But the doctor said no I know that sound that in RSV.  She tested her and it came back Yes positive for RSV and also positive for Bronchial ammonia. What how many places had I taken her to this week and finally a answer. The stuck a tube down her nose and could not believe the amount of mucus that came out. They sent us home with a breathing machine and a mucus sucker machine and hoping and praying she does not get any worse or we will be spending some time in the hospital. She is already doing so much better tonight. She just needed the right thing. I will be so happy when the cold and flu season is over.

I'm so sorry :( When Tyler was a baby and till he was 2, we got him the RSV vaccination so he wouldn't get it. It would have killed him. BTW, those vaccinations were $2,000. per month, for the 5 winter months!!!! Thank goodness for insurance!!! Good luck!!!!
